Sisters of Charity Companions NSW

This group has been meeting regularly since 2009 and provides a strong spiritual connection to those parishes where the Sisters have lived and worked for many years. Most of our members have had a connection to the Sisters through schools, hospitals and outreach services, but we’ve been joined by others along the way.

Our meetings are held every six to eight weeks on Sunday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm at Liverpool. The meetings offer the opportunity to reflect on and discuss what it means to follow Jesus in the world today. Church documents and readings from theologians provide a stimulus for our own individual faith development as well as honest and open sharing of our personal responses.

There is an atmosphere of trust and true companionship as we face the challenges of our lives, as well as prayer support for those who are in need. Relationships between members are further developed by sharing afternoon tea at the end of the meeting.

A highlight is our annual retreat when many Companions enjoy each other’s company over a weekend.
