These two paintings of Venerable Mary Aikenhead are by Jeanette Costello, ex-student of St John’s Primary School, Auburn and Bethlehem College Ashfield, both of which were Sisters of Charity schools.

Jeanette is a cherished, active community member of SVCS, Carseldine. The top painting hangs significantly there.  

The photo shows Jeanette presenting the painting of the young Mary Aikenhead to Sr Karan Varker with sincere thanks for the wonderful Sisters of Charity who taught her.  
She named a few: Sr Brenda, Sr Laurentia, Sr Veronica, Sr Laurence and Sr Philomena.
